| What's a "Big Sit"??? Well, basically, it is an international birding event held every year in the fall. Birders sit with in a 17 foot diameter circle and count all the different bird species that can be seen from with in the circle in a 24 hour period. Big Sit "Circles" occur all over the Untied States, and many other countries participate as well! Birds-I-View hosted this particular Big Sit Circle as a fund-raiser for the new "Memorial Park Bird Garden" to be installed in Spring 2009. Birds-I-View and others donated money for each species seen during the "Sit". The Memorial Park Bird Garden came about through the initiative of local Wildlife Photographer and conservationist, Jim Rathert . Want to find out more about "The Big Sit"??
